Steps

  1. In a regular Chat (not Work), name the city, day, time and party size.
  2. Add preferences like cuisine, budget, dietary needs or atmosphere.
  3. Review the times, ask follow-ups to narrow the list, and only select a time when you actually want to book.

The exact prompt

Find Italian restaurants in Asbury Park, NJ with open tables for 2 people this Thursday around 7 PM. Show me the available reservation times. Don't book anything.

Good to know

Our test: one prompt returned 2 restaurants with open times in about 20 seconds, and one follow-up (quieter, under $50 per person) narrowed it to one. The times on screen were labelled OpenTable. We didn't select a time or book anything. Availability varies by restaurant and changes fast. Details: https://help.openai.com/en/articles/9237897

This chat just found me open dinner tables, with real times.

Just ask in a normal chat with the city, day, time, and party size. I asked for Italian in Asbury Park, Thursday at seven, for two.

About twenty seconds later, I had two restaurants with open times right in the answer.

Then one follow-up: something quieter, under fifty dollars a person. It narrowed it to one, with a full grid of times.

Live times come from partners like OpenTable. Availability varies by city, and nothing's booked until you pick a time. So, where are you eating tonight?
